Links are a series of attachments designed for Tom Dixon's Delaktig Sofa for Ikea, launched in Milan in 2017. As a guest designer with open source furniture company OpenDesk, I was invited to create products for Ikea using CNC manufacturing through OpenDesk's distributed network of localised makers and fabrication workshops, to imagine ways in which this more personal chain of production could be used to customise a mass produced piece of furniture

Designed to clip onto Delaktig's frame, the Links accessories allow IKEA classics to be integrated into the bed design. Made out of a recycled yogurt pot material produced by Smile plastics, the links can be used to create cupholders, paper dispensers, shelves and plant-pot holders.
